Our project with the National Trust (Treasure) https://floodplainmeadows.org.uk/keep-updated/news/national-trust-partnership-national-trust-treasure-project-tools-realise-socio is the gift that keeps on giving. Dr Sam Shaw and Dr Vicky Bowskill, from the Open University, have both taken the art aspects further trying to share and understand how art and meadows interact and how one links to the other. Sam has set up an online exhibition ‘How art can save meadows’ created by exploring a range of online art resources related to meadows, and compiling them into one single space: https://artuk.org/discover/curations/how-can-art-save-meadows Vicky has used this as the basis for a thoughtful blog building on the theme of art and meadows in discussing how art is critical in deepening understanding of nature, which in turn will help inspire its protection. https://societal-challenges.open.ac.uk/blog/how-can-art-save-meadows/75?preview=true It would be lovely to see your favourite meadow-inspired art, so we are inviting anyone to share examples on our social media channels.
